ABOUT THE DEVELOPER

In 1989 Shan Trouton and Partner founded Rostrum Developments to take advantage of multi-family development opportunities in the sea-to-sky corridor. Rostrum Developments principles anticipated a housing trend including a pent up need for townhomes and acted to develop several successful projects in the area. A highly successful design team of professionals was assembled to provide quality and affordable housing with a focus on design form and function. Working with respected local trades and suppliers in combination with purchasing volume, enabled efficient and cost conscious completion of quality communities. In the past 25 years Rostrum Development’s has completed over 200 million dollars in projects.

After the formation of an investor team Rostrum Developments was able to grow and become a leader in the Lower Mainland through several joint ventures, limited partnerships and partnerships all achieving excellent returns and building wealth over the long term. Over the years as business blossomed, Rostrum Developments was able to branch out to assist other developers and completed industrial, commercial mixed use and institutional projects. As opportunities were carefully fostered, Rostrum Developments diversified and grew into other geographical locations within the province.

In 2005, with the retirement of one of Rostrum Developments’ founders, Shan Trouton took over the company and was able to leverage the run up to the Vancouver Winter 2010 Olympics to capture real estate appreciation value. Along with solid relationships, experience and a successful track record the business has expanded to provide consulting services adding value to both national and international real estate professionals, developers and legal firms while still developing projects and pursuing only the best development opportunities.
